Answers for property teams.
A quick reference for common questions about the always-on Community Request Desk and monthly Concierge Day model.
Who pays for the service?+
The apartment community partners with Close By Concierge and offers the program to residents as an amenity. The property pays; residents benefit at no cost.
Is this a chatbot or an app?+
No. Technology organizes and tracks requests, but the service is human-powered. Each request is personally reviewed by a dedicated Community Concierge - not an automated chatbot or unverified search result.
How quickly do residents hear back?+
Simple lookups are answered by the next business day. Deeper research is followed up within three business days, so busy months create a clear queue instead of unclear expectations.
Can residents without smartphones use it?+
Yes. Residents can submit by QR code, online form, email, or text, and they can also hand a request to the Community Concierge during the monthly Concierge Day.
What does property management see?+
The monthly Community Insights Report: engagement, submitted requests, most-requested categories, average response time, emerging trends, recommended partners, and event ideas. Resident names, apartment numbers, and private request details are not included.
What does our property need to provide?+
A space for the monthly Concierge Day, help announcing the program, and a staff point of contact. No new hires or new systems are required.
How does the program start?+
We begin with a conversation about your community size, resident mix, and goals, then recommend a program plan your property team can review before moving forward.
